So CarlKenner has been working on a way hacking the Wiimote right? WEll, he's done it. He gathered the information off the hardware of the Wiimote and created drivers for the PC!
Heres a movie clip of an acceleration reading on a pc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iBaKsh5z_o
and here are the files
http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie_download

heres what you do
Run the program(GlovePIE.exe)
go to file>open
select TestWiimote.PIE and click open
press run

TestWiimote.PIE has by default the accelerometer values in the "debug = " which you can see in the textbox on upper right, you can add to or replace
"Wiimote.RawForceX+', '+Wiimote.RawForceY+', '+Wiimote.RawForceZ"
to other values for different callibrations

you can also edit which controller you want to use
here are the player/hex values you would use
1 = 1
2 = 2
3 = 4
4 = 8

The latest GlovePIE can do so much more, I have configured my own File that I made for Portal but you could use it in other FPS,
there is also a good file for emulating your mouse and the program is so easy to write on by yourself (with the help of existing code).

Though I had problems using the sensor bar to aim, so I used the motion control that everyone else seems to use. If anyone is up for helping me incorporate the sensor bar so you can point in the direction you want to look (with a stable an user friendly dynamic) then I guess this is a good a place as any to do it.

P.S.

With this application the possibilities are endless and far superior to the Wii (if coded well) due to the power of the PC!
Think "Bioshock" with the Wiimote, that is already a reality, we just need to develop the code!

Just imagine those possibilities :D

I might end up getting another Wiimote at some time, but my wireless mouse is good enough for me :D.
