Do you get the error with a particular emulator, or basically all of them? This could be an issue with your SD card having been corrupted before using the packgen. My suggestion would be to uninstall The Homebrew Channel via the Channel Manager (found in data management), and then make a fresh pack. When you make your pack this time, be sure to select the Windows Executable option (formatility just to be safe). Now, before you extract to your SD card, reformat it (this is key), and make sure you use FAT. After that, extract the Pack to the root of your SD card, re run the twilight hack, and hopefully you should be good to go.

If this doesnt fix it let me know and I'll look into it further (for now I cant because im at work).

I got the issue with everything I tried. Only way out was to hold the power button. Ok trying now with another SD card in fact. Would these be common while running the .exe? Possibly due to the .txt file inside being too small?

All those messages are accepted. For some reason it says that files with spaces are corrupt, but it copies them to the memory stick regardless. I tried using the .exe myself and got the same messages, but everything worked fine and dandy.

Ok just tried again with another card and the same thing. Looks like the new channel installs correctly. I can see all the APPS I put on the card. But it just sits at 0% when I hit A to load one. Doesnt matter is its Simon, Missle Command or an EMU.

I checked and erased the channel and the old save that was copied from the SD card before just ot make sure.

Did you verify that the SD Card is formatted for FAT or FAT16? If that is the case I will look into this further, but I still need to get out of work.

Yes formatted at FAT(FAT16) as listed by windowsxp. Is there anyway I could have screwed thing up permanently by using the .zip instead of the .exe the first time? If so then this is my fault for being in a rush to do things without reading the instructions fully.

Just for more info I have 3.1U on the wii system. A wiikey and I think a D2B chip.

I doubt that is possible. Did you run an actual reformat when you tried it again, or did you just delete the files? Make sure you run an actual format, because what I'm thinking is somewhere on your SD card there is corrupted data that causes the Homebrew Channel to fail to read your content.

Yeah I definately reformatted the card. I tried reformatting 2 different cards. Seems like an odd issue. Both cards are 1 gb so the HDCP issue isnt in effect.

Also once Im in the Homebrew channel, if I try to exit to go back to the "boring" menu page the system locks up on a black screen.

Hmm, Im beginning to think it might have something to do with the fact that you have the wiikey and d2b chip. Later tonight, brentbizzle will be on and he can help you more in those regards. I'm really running out of ideas on what this could be.

my specs:

2GB SD card
3.3 firmware

I tried both manually installing and the pre-made package (nice idea by the way! ^^) and neither have worked for me. I've also reinstalled it a 3rd time with a different package set-up and in the win.exe format. If anyone has an idea on what to do, i'd greatly appreciate it.

(oh, and i've tried both the locked and the unlocked positions for all the different times so that's out as well...)

Thank you.

So you are getting the same error and have a modchip, too? This must be a compatability issue with the Homebrew Channel and modchips. Unfortunately I'm really not too intelligent in those regards , so hopefully brentbizzle has time to hop on soon and shed some light on this situation.

I have the same problem too. I updated my Wii last night. Then I applied the Twilight hack. I have the homebrew channel and the homebrew shows up, it just won't load. Like the OP, my Wii just sits there at 0%.

My Specs:
- Using a 2GB (probably overkill?) Sandisk micro SD card in an SD adapter shell.
- My Wii does not have a modchip in it.
- Before I started on a Vista machine, I right clicked and selected "Properties". My computer said the card was formated as "FAT".
- I've not tried reinstalling. It was late and I went to bed.
- I initially selected the "0" save file in Zelda. My system just hung. My version needed the "2" save file. After I rebooted the Wii, and selected the "2" save file, installation proceeded fine.
- I'm not sure what else to tell you, I'm a noob at this but I'm good at following directions. :-) Now that I've said that, I'm certain someone will point out something simple that I've missed/overlooked. :-P

Thanks for any help you all can offer.
