Okay. how do I restore my Wii's firmware so that I can redo all my hacking? Because this is what I did: I dont have my own SD card, so I used my parents camera sd card and formated that. So,I installed some homebrew. I took out the sd card and formated it back for the camera. Now, I put everything back to the way it was on the sd card (formatted and all files) and deleted the twiilight hack and replaced it with my zelda file. now, I am trying to play Guitar fun (so not all the same APPS) and the homebrew channel wont recognize anything So, I tried to use the homebrew browser, and it wont even load. So, what is going on? should I restore the firmware to something below 3.3 and then upgrade again? or how can I get rid of all traces of homebrew without deleting my wiiware, vc, and save games??? HELP!!!

The homebrew channel runs apps FROM your SD card. The only thing that is "installed" on your wii is the homebrew channel itself. To run anything it needs to be on your SD card, properly formatted, and inserted in your wii when you run the homebrew channel.

Go buy an SD card.

yes I know it runs apps From the SD card, but that doesn't answer my question, which is how do I remove all traces of homebrew so I can start fresh when I buy my own SD card?

The homebrew channel can be uninstalled by going into your Wii's system menu, channels, and deleting it.

I already did that. but how do I delete the REST of the homebrew. Like the twilight hack, but more specifically, everything the twilight hack did to the wii - how do I get rid of it?

Twilight hack doesn't install anything on your Wii... it crashes the game to be able to BOOT code, not install it.

There's no way to eliminate ALL traces of the homebrew channel... but for the most part, it's gone.

You've done all you can.

well, should I copy all my savegames to my sd card, plop them on the computer, and do "format wii system memory", then put the savegames back? or would that be a bad idea?

I don't fully understand what exactly your problem is, so you can do whatever you want...

Your original comment is a grammatical mess, so I can't even understand what's going on.

Make sure your SD card is formatted properly, with each app titled boot.dol or boot.elf, in its own folder, all in a folder titled apps on the root of your SD card. Just reinstall the homebrew channel and give it another shot.
