Animal Crossing: City Folk was sold early by a few Wal*Mart stores, (link) apparently it forces an update after the October 23rd update. Just wanted to get this out there so that it will hopefully be looked into soon after it's release this Sunday (16th). Let's hope it doesn't cause any problems. It's most likely just an update that works with WiiSpeak or something like that, but I guess it could end up problematic.

If there is a major problem, normally it is patched within days. Let's hope we don't have to wait!

Well my girlfriend bought this game today so I'll let you guys know if this update is problematic. Not sure I want to take the plunge though incase something does happen but I'll take one for the team.

Well it appears as if everything is fine, had a bit of a scare when my Wii froze up when I tried entering the Shop Channel after running the game and installing the Wii Speak device. But it's all working good now and I'm currently downloading the Wii Speak channel.
