Having difficulty working around 3.4 update

I've been contemplating installing the Homebrew Channel and when I saw the kinds of things you can do with custom stages in Smash Bros. (among other things NOT related to piracy of any kind), I decided I would go ahead and do it. I know there's a workaround for the 3.4 menu, but I'm just not sure how to install it. Does anyone here know how to install the HBC with this update and could they give me detailed instructions? Thanks so much in advance.

I've already downloaded the files from hbc.hackmii.com (twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2.zip, the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz, and hbc_apps.tar.gz) but I'm not sure what to do with them. I extracted them all to the root of my SD card, but I've read on a few sites that you're supposed to rename the HBC "boot.dol" and I'm just generally confused as to what I do from this point onward. I've done everything I could think of, from trying the beta 9 version of HBC to anything that sounded like it could work. I trust that somebody here can walk me through what I need to do to solve this problem. If it helps, I've been trying to do this with a 32 MB SD card (tiny, I know, it was the first thing I grabbed) if that has anything to do with it. Thanks again in advance.

I read that and I already tried reformatting. It won't let me reformat to FAT32, but FAT16 worked (whatever that means).

I also should have mentioned that I get the error message "No code found to load, hanging" after it tells me that it can't load boot.elf for whatever reason. I've tried both boot.dol and boot.elf... nothing works.

Also, thanks for the quick response.

How do you actually reformat your SD card, anyways?

My SD (2gb SanDisk) is FAT. I have no idea how to change it to FAT16/FAT32 or whatever.

FAT=fat16... On Windows XP you should have the choice between FAT and FAT32. On vista you have to do some finiking. Google vista format fat16 and you should find directions out there.
