I can't seem to figure out the smb feature of mplayer.

I want to stream my mp3 collection from my pc to my wii but I haven't got a clue were to start.

I have windows xp service pack 2 and a fully homebrewed wii. There must be a way for me to stream my music to my wii WITHOUT using ORB.

If anyone could help me get started it would be greatly appreciated.

I would turn off simple file sharing for starters.

then I would create a login with a password if you don't have one already on the xp system.

I would make sure the account that I created for the login has permission to at least access your files.

That is what I would try.
