i have a question about PS3.. are there any Mod chips for the Ps3?

anyway to manually modify it like the pandora battery?

i am so pissed right now, i bought this f***ing PS3 40GB and it wont play Ps2 games... what a bunch of bull.. ive read all over the reasons why it wont play.. and people dont know wtf they are talking about.. its so funny.. people are like.. (oh they took it off the processor, so no matter what it wont play..) im almost completly sure its an algorithm from the system harddrive that controls the decryption of the PS game files.. lol

only the 80gig has the playback of ps2 / 1 games sorry there (not that i now of) isn't anything you can do. Plus its was probably better of buying the 80gig because it has the chrome and all those memory card slots.

yep i kno that now, i wish that said that on the 40gb box.. otherwise i wouldnt have wasted my money on this peice of crap..

i got my 40gb new for 250$ though, so it was a good deal.. either way tho.. gay.. i should bomb sony america

its gay cuz i can play my original PS games on there.. my PS3 games.. but not my PS2 games.. what kind of sh*t is that lol

now i hate sony, and dont think im gonna buy any of there products again, only hack them lol

Idk, I mean I thought everybody knew that it couldn't play PS2 games. Every model except the 40 GB can.
But yea I just heard they took it out.

Certian PS2 games don't work on 40Gigs,
FFXII worked
Guitar Hero2 Worked
Freekstyle didn't tho.

What?? I have tried several PS2 games, but it always says "This model of the PS3 does not support PS2 format software" or something like that.
I've tried GH2 as well. You have to do anything special for it to work?

I think you mean the 80 GB can only play certain ones, I know it doesn't have full backwards compatibility.

No, I was at my cousins house.
He had just gotten, a 40Gig in Febuary.
He's a DBZ Freek, so he kicked my donkey in DBZ:BT3.
But, It was an unmodded 40Gig.

Heh thats weird, IDK I have looked it up before getting the 40 GB to see if it had any compat. but all I could find was Zero compat. I can try more games later, but GH2 won't work for meh.
