Just curious who out there has cell phones and tries to get the most out of them.
I used to have a Motorolla E815 that I used as a cellular modem with Verizon until they got pissed about how much I was downloading and they sent me a nasty gram. I just picked up an VX6800 Pocket PC and I am about to flash it. It seems nothing is anygood out of the box anymore.

If I had AT&T I think I would go with the tilt.
What can your modded iPhone do now that it could not out of the box?

Soon iphones will be able to do TONS of things. Apple is planning to release software development tools so that third party programmers are free to make their own programs. That's pretty much the only good thing I've seen from Apple in a long time.

Ok TONS of things.
What will the iPhone be able to do (besides play protected music from the Apple store) that a pocket PC or Palm based cell phone can't?

I'm guessing you can play the NES games on the iphone too since the touch can. It has the touchable screen.

I'm not sure what all the iphone will be able to do... imagine what a PSP world would be if Sony allowed homebrew like Apple is doing on the iphone. Of course, the PSP is just more powerful and has more homebrew opportunities than the iphone may ever have but any news about homebrew is good news to me. I personally won't ever have an iphone, if I have things my way.

Well I think nothing would change other than we might end up paying for programs like IRshell, M.A.M.E. and XBMC for the Xbox just to name a few.
I am glad that there are so many talented and generous programmers out there that unselfishly devote their time coding and improving the code so that we can make better use of our handhelds.
I send my thanks to
ALL of you, wherever you may be!

Well sorta... you can make telephone calls, but you aren't able to TALK, only listen.

I wanted to show that it is possible. I never said it was convenient.
Playing games on a cellphone is about as fun as making calls on a PSP. Anyone ever try to play Galaga or Ms. Pacman on a cell phone (exclude Nokia Ngage)?
