So for the past few days Blizzard has been showing an image on their splash page, and as time goes on they reveal more and more in the image. At first it was just darkness and then a hole opened up showing something that looks kind of like a demon in some ice and there are runes around it... http://www.blizzard.com

http://www.diablofans.com/ and others are saying that it might be a teaser for Diablo 3. There is a Blizzard event this weekend where they are expected to announce the release date for StarCraft 2 and maybe even the making of Diablo III.

Personally, I think it looks like a Protoss Archon from StarCraft, but only time will tell.

Thoughts?

Would be cool if it was Diablo 3 cause Number 2 was awsome but yeh it does look like sumthing from StarCraft.

Man I don't know, Diablo puts me to sleep, I need a game with more than one button clicking.

I think the images are a hoax but anything is possible.

Hmmm. First thing I thought about was the Lich King since the ice and all, but turns out that it is slightly different...
I really have no idea, but if they make a diablo III then I hope the cinematic's aren't the best part of the game again.

All that proves is that someone had a lot of time and was good with photoshop.

They have been working on it for a while so it should be done in the next year or so hopefully.

Dude, it looks like diablo II with better graphics! eek.

Well they weren't actually "working" on getting Starcraft 2 out with due haste. I don't think they expected it to do very well. But Blizzards site had been changing each day consecutively. Of course Diablo 3 is "real". Nobody would be able to hijack Blizzard's site for even 12 hours without being noobified.

you would have to be 1337 to do something like that, even for a few hours. I think diablo3 will be pretty amazing, but i also think it will take them a while for it. they are to busy fixing server issues with WoW lol
