Well i bought a fart machine while in Panama....its hilarious. Just think Walmart, fart machine, employees, and old women. lol.

Anyway, it got me thinking....what else could i control with this little remote?? Or even...what else would be easy to modify into being turned on by this remote?

Think of this.
A simple battery attached to wires and a light....

Now, cut the wire, make an IR sensor that has it's own battery, and whenever the IR sensor gets the right signal, the cables connect for a split second.
That's basically how easy it would be.
Anything with a button, now is just a circuit that has a gap in the wire/circuit board. So, replace the button with an IR sensor, and there ya go!
Anything can be controlled with a remote.
And yet again, America is saved from having to get up to do something!!

Oh, by the way, you gave me a new idea for a new program!

Hmmm, well you can control anything electronic with it. If it wasn't already past the 4th, I would say wire you up a cheap artillery shell display with nichrom wire, a 9v battery and an IR sensor. Now that would impress your neighbors. I was going to do that this year, but it was to dry. O well.

or...instead of impressing them...scare the crap out of them by doing after the 4th...

Well that's a perfect idea, they need to wake up early to go to work anyways. Only problem is I live on a dead end road in the woods/swamp, wouldn't be a smart idea on my part to "scare" my neighbors, the gun laws aren't as strictly enforced outside of the city limits...

Nice . Those things came out at least 6 or so years ago. Now they have cussing machines.. I messed with the fart machine a little bit, a few family members have them .
