No, you know what's stupid? I can't remember what company, but, they charge for incoming text messages as it is. Not only that, the company itself SENDS YOU TEXT MESSAGES from time to time which CHARGES you for stupid messages about service plans and things that you didn't want to get in the first place.
Buddy of mine has a plan through them. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Nextel maybe?

That's AT&T for ya.
It's 10 US cents per outgoing/incoming sms/text message.

Either telus or rogers have been like that for a while. It's the stupidest thing ever cause you cant control whether someone else sends a text. I'm surprised no one has taken this issue to court yet.

AT&T only dings you if you read it.
If you receive it and don't do anything to it, then it's fine.
What I hate is those stupid spam bots that text you from like, Jamaca, or wherever.
They cost to open them and cost a load of money if you reply back to them.
