I got my first chicken a little less than 3 months ago. He was great to show off to all my friends because no one had ever seen a baby green chicken before! I got him from my Biology teacher in school for absolutely nothing and I gained so much knowledge and now I'm a chicken freak!
Because he was a chicken that was dyed green, my teacher thought it would be a good idea to name him Kermit. So I did!
Here's a picture of him whenever I first got him.

As you can tell, he wasn't exactly a day old whenever I got him and he probably hatched around easter.
I learned that chickens would be happier if there were more of them, so about 2-3 weeks ago, I got another baby chicken for him! She's awesome! Her name is Fran Stalinofskivitchdavitovichski. She followed him around 24/7 and they did everything together! I don't know what breed she is.
Unfortianately, Kermit finally was able to jump high enough to jump over my fence... He jumped over my fence into my neighbor's yard and their dog killed him.

I was planning on getting his wings clipped soon, I should have done it earlier... This was three days ago. July 7th.... I burried him early yesterday morning.
Anyways, I was really, really heart broken and my girlfriend decided to randomly pop by my house the day before yesterday and surprise me with another chicken! It was one of the most generous things anyone had ever done for me.
He is a blue wyandotte and he is yet to be named. They are both very close in age and they get along well.
Here's a picture of my two chickens.

Here's another picture of Kermit whenever he was still young. I think he looks awesome in this one.

He grew to be the size of a Football(US).
I can't find the picture I had of me holding him whenever he was that size though..

Any cool ideas for chicken names are welcomed! I was thinking something like Giovanni or Depuety...

That reminds me I never did get around to getting a colored chicken. Never figured out how to do it, o well I will figure it out eventually. Anyways, Kermit has my best wishes, and grats on the two new ones. My dog was named kermit

He was a black lab/doberman. He sure was a good dog.

Other random names: Cyan, Fernando, Phoenix, David, Richard, Boko, Homestarrunner, Ringo.

They inject dye into the egg. The dye permanently dyes the baby feathers of the chicken whatever color.

I actually thought about Cyan. But that seems like it would be a girl's name. Ya' know?

Maybe Xemnas, Xigbar, Marluxia?
Or Alonzo, Alfons(o), Jasper, Bengi, Friddo, and a personal fav ICHIGO!!!!!!

Hmmm.
I'm still likin' Depuety or Giovanni the best though..
Maybe since Kermit was green and from The Muppets, then maybe I should name my blue chicken Gonzo.
