Well I was just wondering what is the best way to get a wireless internet password that is not yours? And I know google tells me lots of information on this stuff, but what is something good and will not give me a virus or something that will fck up my computer.[/i]

I can't remember the software but it was like aircrack or something along those lines. Fastest WEP cracking software availiable like ever. I did a huge research project on WEP security vulnerabilities, I will look for it later and find the exact name of that program

I would like to see that ace, that would be great. But is this ArtCrack thing safe?
Also I will probably test it on my schools internet (with out them knowing) lol, and this sorta freaks me out "standard FMS attack" would they be able to know?

You need a special LAN card and some knowledge of Linux to get Aircrack to work properly.
Yea it is safe but if you don't know Linux you could spend months collecting millions of packets just to have enough to crack a password.
Also
The lan you would want to crack needs to be using WEP. If it is on WPA or anything else Aircrack is useless.

Def too much work lol. Plus the fact that when you do finally crack it, they'll catch on eventually and change their passes. I was looking for one of these a while back too with no luck, majority of stuff i found was gauranteed to be virus's.

You also need to sell one kidney and both of your eye balls to a witch doctor in Zimbabwe because that's the only way you're going to be able to afford one.

That page looks familiar jay-jay, except the one I remember like the same "company" made several different packages. One namely for Windows, but if I remember correctly the one for Windows could only ideally crack WEP networks in a somewhat short period of time. But as for Linux versions, you can very much crack WEP and WPA(2). WPA is just a little more "complicated". I'll keep looking, I believe it is on my old flashdrive but I will have to find it after church today.

I think there's a PSP program that actually cracks WEP codes...

Ask an administrator from school, and viola!
You have the password.

Aircrack is made for Windows, Linux, ZAURUS, but not OSX? O_o Automatic FAIL!
I don't really know of ANY good WEP cracking programs that don't have a bunch of down sides to them.

you dont need a any special network card you will use your wirleless card and the tools that come with aircrack ng to capture the packets and decipher the key. You will need special drivers though to capture the packets and they are readily available on the net for free.
Youtube has video tutorials if you need visual aid to learn how. You dont even need to know a lot of different commands just the 2 or 3 diffrent commands and a few option strings to find the channel/freq and the MAC of the wireless router you going to probe to capture enough packets and to decipher the key. And yes it works on windows and you can crack wep wpa but it takes time in many instances. Maybe hours if there isnt a lot of network traffic to days if there is almost none and for WPA you have to be capturing when there is an authentication packet being sent or it wont find it. Not hard and you can force people to have to re authenticate so you dont have to wait to long.

2 years ago a special Prizm card was required because the adapter needed to enter a special mode not native to windows. The cards weren't that expensive. I know because I was doing it back then but things have changed.
I don't keep up with how to crack WEP anymore because most people have/are converting to WPA which is not as easy to crack as WEP. As far as I know the only way possible to crack a WPA encrypted system is through brute force dictionary.
Anyhow, if anyone after reading this cracks a wireless network especially on a PSP I am interested in knowing how it was done.
