Since this game is out for computer, 360 & PS3 I figure we could chat about it here.

Anyone play it yet? I think it is great. I play it on 360.

Not as good as you thought? Have you played the original Fallout? What were you expecting?

Did you know that Fallout is based off of a 1988 game called Wasteland? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasteland_(computer_game)

This would be a great pocket or cell game if it were released today.

I have been looking forward to it, but I have to beat another RPG before I start this one. I heard it is a lot like Oblivion, just more futuristic/wasteland-ish.

I dont' know, its sorta to me wasn't up to the hype they said it was going to be. Still it is a good game, but I think there could have been "more".

Which RPG?

I never got into Oblivion. I am kind of tired of all the elves and magic isht.

I am told by "experts" that Fallout3 is smaller than Oblivion. They complain that for as long as the game was in production (4 years) that it should be bigger. I don't know I think it is big enough for me to explore. I have seen the strategy guide for Fallout3 and it seems to be as thick as Oblivion's so I don't know.

I've been playing Oblivion sporadically for the past several months. I get in the zone to play it for a few days then I stop for a month or so then go back to playing it. I haven't played it in a couple of months tho.

Oblivion is really popular and there are even add ons for it to keep anyone busy for some time. I hear that if you really like Oblivion that Fallout3 is an easy transition although the lock picking mechanics have changed from what I have noticed.

fallout 3 didnt match up to the hype
i liked oblivion a lot more, the world just felt better.
i didnt like this own shooting people 1 million times before they die thing.

but its still a great game, i would give it a 8.8

Well I think you have to really like post holocaust RPG games to have an appreciation for it. Like I said I am exhausted over the elves and the spells. I can relate better to a military style RPG than I can to one based on guilds but that is just me I guess.

I like any kind of RPG, it gets boring when it is consistently Medieval times though. The scenery is a plus though :D.

I didn't really like Oblivion, so I don't think i'll like Fallout 3. Although the whole post-apocolypticness is awesome.
I'll have to try it out some time, take a trip down the video store =D
