Your poll doesn't have anything to do with your post lol. For the virus, I'd try running safe mode and using AVG free and spybot search and destroy. Those should get it.
As for your poll, you put mac, windows, and ubuntu, which are all operating systems. But then you put alienware which is a sister company owned by Dell that makes computers and really has nothing to do with the other choices.

I take it you're on windows?
What I'd say you do is:
A.) Boot into safe mode and run a virus scan.
Symantec should show you the path of the file.
Go to the path and delete manually.
B.) If you can't manually delete it you should try installing any linux distro and then mount E:\ and go to the path that Symantec showed you and delete it.
If you don't know how to mount partitions/drives its fairly simple.
On my hard drive I have 5 partitions:
hda1: NTFS 4GB (C:\)
hda2: (Extended partition)
hda5: EXT2 10GB (G:\)
hda6: EXT3 15GB (F:\)
hda7: NTFS 8GB (D:\)
USB drives are mounted like this:
1st: 2nd: 3rd: 4th:
sda sdb sdc sdd
So on and so fourth...
So each additional drive gets a lower letter, same with hard drives.
Each Partition gets a higher number.

I don't exactly understand what he is trying to say about NTLDR, but if it is infected and deletes it then his computer will just keep restarting over and over.
Do you know like where the trojan horse is on yur hd? Shouldn't be too hard to delete it.

Well, if NTLDR is corrupted download a new boot set.
Hell, I'll zip mine up for you if you need.

Honestly, I don't get how people get viruses so easily. I use cracked programs and download like crazy and my computer is completely clean!
