Here at the Brewology, we're approaching the 20,000 member mark. Things have changed a ton since I joined over 2 years ago. We've made great success and had a few downfalls, but what the entirety of the staff believes is that we need to be pumping out front page news as frequently as possible. This is where you come in. We're looking for new News Posters - people that are interested in getting their feet wet with on-the-fly developing news as a staff member here at the Brewology. If this is something that you're interested in, please read this thread fully and respond with why you believe you would make a good News Poster. Whether you are constantly available for posting news or could only post periodically, a position MAY be available for you.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to use proper grammar/ punctuation consistently.
2. No foul language on the front page.
3. All news posters are expected to have at least 1 article out per 2 days MINIMUM
4. Familiarity with Microsoft Word or another document writer is recommended.
Our news posting tool uses a form that has similar form and function to MS Word.
5. Finding articles and posting them here is perfectly fine, however, you must write
out the article yourself, and must not plagiarize from other sites. Exceptions would
include things like bulleted lists of a change log and such, but not entire articles.

If you're one of the guys or gals that have enjoyed our download section, browsed our forums endlessly, or just plain and simply would love to help the Brewology as a whole in regards to becoming a more reputable website, I personally would like to welcome you to the staff as a News Poster. Members of the forums that visit daily and have a great technical know-how about any one single topic are encouraged to respond to this thread.

If you have a PSP and know all there is to know about homebrew and custom firmware, consider this opportunity. Just the same, if you have a Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, or any other area of expertise from our selection of topics that we cover here at the Brewology, becoming a News Poster will allow you to express your technical know-how and help inform others of the newest trends in technology.

Topics we are expecting to cover include, but are not limited to, new hardware releases, new software/ game releases, what games are being planned, what homebrew is being planned or released, and much more.

We're also looking for a couple brave young forumites to step up to the plate and write "Feature Articles" for us. Feature Articles will be generally big stories that may take a little time to research and cover and may be assigned directly from the Administration Staff here at the Brewology. Things like company merges or annual sales figures or even one-on-one interviews with different developers are just some of the possibilities a Feature Article writer may be writing about. These articles will most likely be posted on every site in the Brewology and include a fancy banner directing to the Brewology homepage, to make things look very professional. This job may be ideal for people that want to help out and write news, but may not want to agree to posting a minimum of 1 article every 2 days.

If you would like to help make the Brewology a better place to stay informed about the latest trends, please respond back with whatever it is that you feel makes you a good candidate for posting news. Many positions are available.

What if we don't get one article out every two days then what?

One article every two days isn't necessarily a rule to follow. Nobody would be punished. It's just that, typically, every day there is SOMETHING that can be reported on in one of the many topics that we cover. Writing an article every other day or perhaps even less often is fine as long as there are enough news posters to fill that space in.

With that said, I'm hoping more people post here so that we can help fill that space in! ;)

Try to keep it down though, don't have like 10 People posting to say PS3brew because then at some point there will be multiple postings of the same thing. So set them up into teams or something like
4 People - PSPbrew
3 People - PS3brew
etc
And have those people work together so like I said multiple postings of the same thing are not posted.

It really wouldn't be possible for two articles to be posted at the same time, there is a form that shows all articles posted and in what order so if they do post the same thing at the same time anyways they can just disable the second one.

Yeah .Yunoko that doesn't really make sense. On the same form as the news posting editor there's a list above it with the recent articles lol. You should know that.

Honestly, i love being a part of the news anywhere.
ive done the school newspaper at my school before and i was so into it that i ended up failing 2 classes cause i blew them off to do an article i wrote. lol. im the perfect student!!!

i would be happy to do it since its just news and its what i love but i dont exactly know everything that there is to know about psp hacks. i know the majority on the steps from your tutorial (your a great teacher) and the rest of different issues from exploring possibilities. but i dunno if id be able to do even 50 percent of what half the guys and gals of this forum are masters of and are professing in. (such as RoxFox, AdventWolf and yourself)
but if you wanna make an exception just say the word :D
id love to keep people informed of different things going down in the psp world.

I wonder if you'll come around and post often enough, Equ1ox. That's my only worry with you so far.

Since nobody seems to be contesting whether or not to be on the News Staff though, you're at the top of the list right now ;)

I only wasn't around a lot because i lost internet and couldn't pay for it anymore cause i needed to help my mom with bills.
don't get me wrong i love this forum, and i love the people in it, but when it comes to family, id sell everything i own to make my mom happy.

But now I've got free interwebz. and i don't expect it to go out anytime soon. :P
And i think the fact that i get a lot of info from the traffic at the GameStop i work at will help me get new info more often. i get a plate full of info that I've never even heard about just about every single day.

Staff registration is still available for those of you that would like to join as News Posters. A staff position is not guaranteed, but I'll be personally reviewing entries to help fill the News Staff. If anyone would like to send me a private message instead of posting here in the forum for the positions, that's fine with me as well.
