Portal is such a damn good game.
Orange Box is hard to find for X360 now, but DEFIANTLY worth w/e it costs, TF2 Half life 2, (both episodes) and Portal.

Portal was the funnest for singleplayer.

I migrated from XP because I have 8gb of ram in my computer and I want to get the most out of my high-end gaming system so I went with a 64 bit operating system (to use all the RAM) and I went with Windows Vista (32-bit Ultimate) for compatibility and troubleshooting and for hardcore gaming stuff I use Windows 7 (64-bit Ultimate) Evaluation Build 7100. There's newer builds out. I don't know if Microscam, er, 'soft', is still offering Windows 7 for a year but their release candidates, last I knew, were free to download and you can get a legal key that will expire in a year, so a free year of an operating system... pretty good deal.

There's 3 things I like majorly compared to previous Windows versions.

1.) Microsoft Paint is updated and is actually a useful photo editor now - but is still oldschool kind of at the same time.

2.) When you first install Win7, it will find all of your drivers for you if you install your motherboard's Ethernet (NIC) drivers first. Very useful and it works quite well.

3.) Navigation in the desktop is SO nice. Double click the top bar to maximize, or drag the bar to the top of the screen to maximize. To put a window on one half of the screen only, drag the top bar to either side of the screen (great for browsing and comparing two things on web pages and works amazing with Google Chrome browser). And say you have 50 windows open but don't want to close out of them or exit them in Task Manager - just grab one of the windows and shake it a bit... seriously... and it will "wipe off" the desktop and minimize everything but the window you had selected.

Very neat OS.
