False Advertisment

Really pisses me off.

I bought the 32LH40 like I have been talking about lately (HD is amazing..). My one complaint is that it doesnt have the "XD engine" as ADVERTISED that upconverts Standard Definition TV to a more pleasurable experience. Now, if it was just a Best Buy mistake I would be ok with it...but it is on the Manufacturers website. Thats what made me mad.

I emailed LG and this is what they had to say:

Dear BKFraiders7,

Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. We are always glad to assist you.

I absolutely understand your concern and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

The model 32LH40 does not have the XD Engine feature; it is a mistake in our specifications sheet, which will be reported to our marketing department for the necessary corrections to be made.

If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email, or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience.

Now..If this was a NEW product they may have an excuse..but this product has been out for 6 months at least. Probably more.

I gave BKF some coaching tips through AIM so I'm looking forward to see how he does at Best Buy - he's headed there now ;)

XD engine "upconverts" standard definition to a "Near HD experience"

And the best Best Buy can do is let me exchange Tvs..mostly because in the fine print they say that they are not responsible for such instances... now if DPM were there I would have gotten a 65' LED tv with all the complaining he would have done.

My neighbor has this XD engine. It looks like you can reach in the screen and pull something out.

Take it back and get what you want. Don't settle especially when you are spending your hard earned cash.

BKF I know you can do better. I bet I can go into the Best Buy here and say "my cousin bought a TV from you guys and he's in another state but he got this product and it says on the manufacturer's website and your website that his TV has this certain feature (at the time or purchase) and it doesn't" and I BET I can make something work even though we A.) aren't cousins, B.) are in a different state, and C.) you suck ;)
