Well, I just booked my first exam, 70-270 XP exam. Taking it this friday. Been doing good with the practice questions but I'm still nervous considering I just shelled out $144 AUD for it.

Anyone here taken it?

Yea that $144 AUD (whatever the USD equivalent is) is the reason I haven't taken it yet. Only been able to take the A+ Essentials/IT Pro tests since they were free vouchers from my school. Lemme know how you do, I do plan on taking the 70-270 after this year of high school. I'm sure you'll do great though :)

I wanted to take the A+ exam just for kicks, but the exam is just over $300 AUD when it's only around $125 US. At the current exchange rate that should make it around $140 AUD... but they decided to charge over twice the amount for it, and it's an easier test than 70-270. So much for the extra cert.

I just finished another practice 60 questions and aced them, so I think I'm ready. Maybe I should start studying for Vista since I've never used the OS before, lol.

Yea the A+ exam is pretty easy, I'm not sure how it is in Australia but I would think you could qualify for the educational one or w/e it is called, I know when I reviewed the receipt it was half the price through my school (the school paid for it fully anyways) but they only had to pay half the price. $300AUD is ridiculous though if you plan on taking anything better anyways.

Good job on acing the practice questions, and yes the vista part would probably help lol. Bah that reminds me the practice questions are always so much more easy for my calculus bc class than the actual test questions. It's like each practice question contains a single element (u substitution, simplification, splitting up a integeral if its +/-) but on the test its like the questions contain several elements in one question >.<

Well, the practice questions I'm running through are either pirated from companies that sell them, or actual dumps of the Microsoft questions that they use. So I'm confident that they'll prepare me.

And I'm 24... I've already graduated from Uni and not a student anymore. Might have a little difficulty getting a student discount.

And good luck with the Calc BC class. I did AB in high school and got a 4 on the test. Shocked the hell outta me cause I certainly didn't think I would get that high. Neither did my teacher, lol.

Yea I mean that was just towards classes, I know most of those cert practice questions, (for a majority of them) are just questions that people remember when companies pay people to do just that.

Oh, I was under the impression you were taking a class on it again, I knew you were already graduated but I thought you had like went back or something, wasn't sure.

Bah, that's happened to me a few times. I have dyslexia, so I thought I would have been the last person to score the highest grade on the essay that every sophomore has to write. I still hang that over all m friends to this day  "I think the answer is A, me - I think it's B, random kid - Well maybe you should listen to the dyslexic kid, he can write better essays then our valedictorian."

Just got back from my test. 100%. I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional, lol. Not a high certification obviously, but I'll be going back for more.
