Split your partition in half (allot however much you want for w7), then put the w7 disc in, install, click advanced, pick the partition you made in vista and install it there. W7 will detect any other OS present and add it to the boot list. That easy :)

It's impossible to do what you want to do. The only way to achieve something like that is virtual machines.

Virtual machines are really easy to set up. I've worked with Microsoft Virtual PC mostly which doesn't work on 7 since 7 has its own virtual PC app. I've played around with VMware a little too. VMware has LOTS of features, but is still easy enough to use if you don't know what everything does.

One requirement for windows 7 virtual machines is hardware enabled virtualization. You need to go into your system BIOS and check that:

A. You have that option available to you.
B. If you do, it is enabled.

If you don't have it, then you can't use the Windows 7 VM. You will have to use a 3rd party product like VMware. I believe VMware has a free product you can use on PC. I have a full paid program myself so I'm not 100% sure.

I think my laptop you press f2 at startup. If you don't know how to get into bios I seriously don't recommed you messing with it too much. Try f1, f2, sometimes the esc button will do it. Depends on ur mobo.
