Do you believe that giving out scholarships that are intended to be 'Whites only' racist?
There's a lot out there that are for minorities only. I want to know your opinions.

I think it's a little eff'ed up that there's scholarships for only black people, chinese people w/e.

But as long as everyone gets one that is equal, it's ok in my opinion.

People it's almost 2010. We should be taking tours to the planet Saturn.

We should be way past this, let's move on.

Racism is an issue that won't ever fade.

It'd be nice if it did fade out into non existance, but it simply will not.

Black is the dominant Gene so in a few 100 years it wont be a issue.

But then again there's alot of white people I can't stand.

So looking at it that way, racism works both ways.

Yes there should be a "white only" scholarship opportunity. I mean, there is a black only so why not?

this is offensive and when asked i shall take off, the ONLY reason im putting this on here is because i dont think it offends any of our corrent members.

Black people call themselves niggers, have there own "only blacks aloud" societys, Call us Honkeys, yet they get all drama queeny when we do anything of that sort "ohh its rasist" it anoys me alot.

and it anoys me that black or white people get pissy at the word "Paki" when its so obviously short for pakistan.

Thats my opinion and many of my friends. No we do not go on raids and beat up black people i have alot of black friends it just anoys me when you meet people like what ive said above.

I don't mind a racist joke every once in a while, but only when it's just for fun. If a joke is funny, I'm usually laughing no matter what the circumstance. I don't like the Boondocks but do I think it's racist? No.
Airplanes, I do think it's a bit racist whenever you say black people's churches are beast because there aren't churches just for black people. I understand why'd you think something like this.. (Stupid movies with all-black churches that are super exciting with the stereotypical old, fat black lady yelling, "hallelujah" after each of the priest's sentences.)
I believe there shouldn't be any scholarships given out to a single ethnic group. Yeah, in America's past, whites slaved the blacks but should the white male have to be penalized for the sins of his great great grandparents?

Whenever I hear people talking about how black people use words like "nigger" to other blacks as a slang term, I find it alright. On our football team, we always used discriminatory words like that to joke around. No one really got mad. I do have a problem whenever certain blacks don't want whites to use that word though they do. I think that's what Alex is trying to say..
Likewise, I hate whenever white people use the word to purposely emotionally hurt others. People that are involved in the KKK or Nazism, I hate whenever they don't like being discriminated upon. Reminds of me of this part of Reno!: 911 when a KKK place had its sign broken down by some black people and the police refused to help them. The KKK members were upset because they racially upon discriminated him.

Thats a tough on, either white's should be able to have them or there shouldn't be any ethnically biased scholarships.

And @Airplanes - "black food" is country food. Any ol' southern cook makes friend chicken, okra, mashed potatoes, rolls, chickin' n' dumplin's, and peach cobbler. I've had it on many many occasions with my family because that's apart of what the traditional southern people would cook. It's not necessarily "black food".

The minority scholarships aren't just scholarships that say "Are you black? Well then here's some money!". Whether anyone admits it or not, minorities tend to have a much harder time financially, and these scholarships helps many of them have a chance at going to college. The scholarships usually have some sort of requirement other than "just being a minority".

"Minority" is such an offensive term. It ranks up there with "Consumer" and other pejoratives.
