Posted: Thu Jan 14, 2010 10:49 pmwell i was sitting down bout to start making PC brew Logos, sat up to get a drink and knocked the damn thing over. landed on back of the screen not even a foot off the ground and smashed the screen. i cant eveen use it. i am using my Girlfriends MAC. So i am pissed and bummed out right now.

Posted: Thu Jan 14, 2010 10:55 pmDaaaaang man, that really stinks! What kind/ model of monitor was it? I'd be SOOO PISSED and bummed out if my monitor broke like that. Mine is that same model but has 50,000:1 contrast ratio and not 20,000:1. Almost every source says that but it's not 20,000:1 lol. I bought that exact item.

Most laptops have an external monitor port like a DVI or VGA port. (Unless you're using a MacBook Air which has like a power port and half of a USB port)
Mine does and I'm planning on getting a VGA-DVI cable so I can use my HDTV as a second monitor.

@Tyler - atleast its just smashed, mines acts wierdo... sometimes the screen comes completely white.. sometimes everything starts moving down.. sometimes it doesn't turn on!

My laptop seems to be suffering from some type of component failure on the motherboard somewhere, probably induced by static shock... and it's downright impossible for me to fix atm.
