Ok, first of all, sorry for the downtime. We've been hard at work locking down the website for security flaws and doubling our efforts to prevent attacks in the future. That said, we were seemingly targeted maliciously by a hacker. At this time, we have absolutely no reason to assume it was any member from the site here, so there's no reason to point fingers, but there is a security measure that should be reiterated. Everyone should change their passwords for the time being. It is believed that passwords should still have remained secure through this episode but it's best to be safe and make sure that your account is secure to the best of your knowledge.

All that aside, welcome back to the Brew! We will soon launch a new section of the forum so that people can post news articles that they come across so that the staff can place them on the front page. That way, one of our weaker components of the site will be aided by the pulling together of our community here at the Brew rather than select few people that are falling behind, myself included. So keep your eyes peeled ;)

Glad to see the brew back. Maybe I'll jump on board and help with some iPhone news since I'm pretty much on top of that stuff.

I said iPhone news, not can't afford an iPhone news... Jk. A lot of stuff simply isn't even applicable to iPods.

On that note, anyone that had news posting privileges has had them revoked lol. This was a security measure and things will return to "normal" in time. Most things that are effected by the changes we've made are not noticeable by the average member and won't effect anybody's normal routine though.

Yeah, next time Nik will warn everyone before a hacker topples the site. Good thinking.

We could have gone live at any moment but we didn't want to. We needed to make sure everything was secure. Once we were confident that we'd be safe and without data loss we opened the doors of the Brewery. We'd fixed things once and then the site went down again in the same fashion within a day so we took our time to make sure everything was just right.

DPM, I'd like to talk to you about these apparent 'hackings.'
