Yes, I'm aware I cry too much about this game.

This happens to me a NUMBER of times per game. I hope I'm not the only one with this issue.

I use a Knife Spec First of All.

Marathon
Lightweight
Commando Pro

Mp5k
Desert Eagle Tactical Knife



Pretty standard build.


The kniving is so broken it's unreal.
It feels like Host or Server problems.
But I lose knife fights like 12 times a game, When I know Damn well, He doesnt see me and I knife first.

Now I know most of you are saying "LAWL GET SUM SKILL"
I've actually tested it, With 3 different hosts (Including Myself). We always Knived each other, And I always lost.

I feel as if the Window Between Client and Server is FAR too great for me to even play on. (Let alone run a Knife Build)

It can't be my Internet because I've done this at a friends house. And apprently It's "Always been that way" and "It's Something you get used too."



I'm feeling as untill they fix this, I'm going to play Left 4 Dead 2.

Dude, it's not you, trust me. This is just one of the many reasons I stopped playing. I can come up BEHIND someone sometimes, knife, and they turn around and knife me... so I die.

It is NOT JUST YOU. It happens to me almost EVERY single time I knife someone - and I'm good at knifing. This issue didn't start happening on the PC version for me until about a month after release, so there's the extra added possibility that there's people on bad computers who saved up and got it, but no, trust me, it's not just you. One time I came up behind 3 people and had tactical knife on my Desert Eagle. Knife-knife-knife... none died and they a**raped me.

Why knife then? Dont get me wrong, I have a knife class I like to annoy people with. But if knifing isnt for you then why keep trying it?

It's not that it isn't "his thing" or "he isn't good at it". For some people it's just MISERABLE because you KNOW for a fact that you've knifed them and they knife you back causing your death. It's frustrating as hell because it's a broken gameplay mechanic. I've knifed people and finished my knifing animation before they've even started to knife and still died.

Same thing goes for Guns.

I'll shoot someone in the face, and I feel as if they ignore it. Now, this doesn't happen every kill.. but it happens a healthy amount, and I'm just really tired of it.

I'm not excellent, but I really feel as if 90% of the players are using some sort of 3rd party support. (Of course their not, but with all the sh*t that happens, I believe anything).

I guess, to me, its like the Halo 3 thing where you hit each other at the same time and you both die.



I agree with yall, knifing on Cod sucks. Its not spot on. Iv experienced it before...but its not big enough to where I stop playing.

Want something to complain about? Pain Pill...nuff said.

My Intinal thoughts about the game turned out to be truth, sadly.
The problems are so snuggly nestled into an amazing game its a HARD decision, to stop playing it.
And I think im just going to play L4d 2 now.

Painkillers are bad but it's just to equalize the frustration. You get merked by some guys like 3 times and get painkillers (or 4 or w/e idk) and you're mad but then you get a kill. It's making someone 1/3 as upset as you are personally... if you look at it that way. So they even try to equalize the frustration so that people still like their game.

I can often kill someone even though painkillers are used, but I use FMJ on almost every gun. If I hit someone with painkillers (and have time), I'll try to avoid them for just a few seconds. If that's not an option though, I hit the ground and pull out my pistol (with FMJ). I do this because I'm better with pistols than most other guns in that game and also because if the person has painkillers then it's ok to assume that they might suck at aiming... so you hit the deck lol. Still frustrating sometimes.

Iv honestly began playing a lot more search on that game. Easier to look at every corner knowing theres 3 guys left. Also, no stupid kill streaks.


A 4v4 Team Tactical would be great. Also, a playlist with CoD 4 maps would be amazing too.

Search is the only thing keeping me from selling this game.

What is "search"? Search and Destroy? Because I'll unleash hell with killstreaks in that mode too...

Dude I completely agree. I played 3rd person team tac with some buddies one night and all we did was use rpgs, scavenger, and danger close. Went on a 18 win streak Then I started trying to use commando and a knife, yea no the only time I actually did remotely good with that is when I was the host. I would knife, lunge right at someone and it wouldn't give me the kill then I would see them not even face me, knife and kill me some how. That and the way it feels when your running around a corner, get shot and then your already completely behind the corner when you see a bullet behind you and you die. Perfect way to show how bad the server/client mechanics are in mc2! Good game, just wish there was dedicated servers for different regions maybe, or something.

Unless you get a dedicated server its allways going to work like that, just like in any thing the data from the host will allways superseed the data from anyone joining the game.
