I am not defending anyone here but she was quoting an Email that she had received.

This doesn't deserve a lot of attention; Oprah was just showing how remorseless the author of the Email is.

Who cares what she was doing this is one of the most funniest videos ive ever seen.

The word Penis quit being funny for me after the second grade. Nice to finally get a gauge on the maturity level of some of the members here.

The point of the topic isn't to point out that "penis" is a funny word. Oprah was responding to a message left on her message board, yes. The point is that someone acting as a troll only did that because Oprah, someone who was sexually abused when she was younger, is an active child abuse spokesperson. The message was left to basically bring the "over 9,000" quote to a different level outside of the internet, and the troll won.

Since it's likely that neither Oprah nor her staff actually understood the premise of "over 9,000" on the internet, at least before she said that on her show (bet they know now! haha), it's no surprise why her or her staff weren't able to catch on that it was a hoax setup by an internet troll.

That's what makes this funny, not the word "penis". I didn't really think that needed to be explained... but... meh

Yeah. In fact, she even quotes the "motto" of "Anonymous" - which is 4chan, essentially; "We do not forgive and we do not forget".

4chan are literally internet terrorists, in every sense of the phrase, but this epic trolling that the Oprah show received and also broadcast about is pure epic win. Penis jokes and child abuse aside, which are certainly not humorous, this is absolutely hilarious!

I got that when I first saw it, but I still don't see why that was funny. Maybe for the person who did it, but it doesn't make me LOL the way the original ones did.

You'd have to know or follow 4chan in order to fully understand the humor behind this. It's a "troll" event. This is a good video that is slightly informative and also funny that Fox news did about "Anonymous".

"We do not forgive. We do not forget". It's their slogan. It's just even more funny that Oprah said it and was serious about it when it's all a hoax.
