SSF4 character voice files?

I've been searching for Dudley's voice clips online from SSF4 (not SF3: 3rd Strike) so I can make an epic ringtone. Thing is, I can't find any online. Anyone know where I can get his sound clips (not the themes, the actual voices)? Hakan too would be nice, but Dudley is the priority.

Re: SSF4 character voice files?

Maybe you can rip the sounds somehow by accessing the source files from the disk. That's sometimes possible but only if the files are in a common format in the root folder on the disk and not buried inside of a binary file.

If not...

You will need to record the sounds with equipment and cables but then you may have fidelity issues depending on the equipment you have, and the method you use.

I thought about that, but the copy I have is not mine. He made me promise not to do anything "mod-based" with it. I'm a man of my word, so I won't do that. Recording has been tried, but has been met with mixed results.

Re: SSF4 character voice files?

Well I am not so sure if you should consider taking a sound sample off of a disk to make a ringtone a mod. It isn't like you are trying to crack or redesign the game.

I will see what I can do to obtain an original disk and see if I can help more. Keep me posted if you make a breakthrough.

Re: SSF4 character voice files?

He pretty much considers using the disc for anything other than playing it a "mod". He's just picky. I appreciate the help. If you are able to get your hands on some voice clips, I'm looking for the following:

ALL IN ENGLISH

All Dudley voice samples
All Hakan voice samples (optional, but wanted nonetheless)
The announcer clips stating "FIGHT!" and "KO!"

I still can't get a hard copy of the game, not even a torrent sorry.

Re: SSF4 character voice files?

If you own the game, you could easily user a digital recorder (iPhone or maybe your phone) and put it near the speaker and play that sound. Or.... You could search for videos of the game being played on YouTube. Sometimes, they have some clips that are recorded with capture cards so they are at the highest quality if that's an issue with you.

If you're really advanced, you can connect the audio cables from your 360/PS3 to a converter to change it to a regular earphone jack and then convert that into a microphone jack that can be plugged into a phone with an audio recorder or a digital audio recorder and record the sounds that you want.

Re: SSF4 character voice files?

Yeah if you can, hook your PS3 to your PC with an HDMI cable or something, then record the sound directly off your sound card. It's pretty easy, you just gotta change a setting or two.

Ok, I got a hold of a retail (not bootleg)Super Street Fighter IV.

But It's too late to mess with it now. I will see if I can do anything to extract any of the data for you after sunrise.
