Foreign exchange is gambling on the wealth of nations.
Basically you buy money from some other nation and hope that the value appreciates from where you entered the market, It's just like buying stocks but instead of purchasing "Wal-Mart"(not a good buy) you buy China(do it if you have the cash).

obvioustly
Anyways...the only stuff ive come across is on the forex website itself. It has videos breaking down some of the basics, and a practice account with different platforms that you can download. I've looked on google and youtube but most of the stuff im seeing is strategies for novice/advanced traders. Guess i'll have to swing on over to my co-workers n have him show me how everything works together.

it's actually quite easy but slow...
I live in KSA and this is what I would do if I had loads of cash.
at a time of the year the GBP rate goes down to 5SR=1GBP.
so If I get 500GBP at that time then it'll cost me about 2500SR, BUT when I convert it back at another time when the rate goes upto 7.20SR=1GBP, and I convert the money back I'll make 3600GBP!

eh its not quite that simple cool man...yeah sure the rates might be low at a certain time of year and high at another, but it also fluctuates every minute...so if the currency pair goes the opposite way you want it to (into negatives of your order) then it starts dipping into what you have in your account (unless you have a stop loss) these markets are very volatile, they could jump up or down 40-100 pips in a matter of minutes sometimes. This isnt a market that you just dump money into and wait it out for a few months ora couple years like you would in stocks. You have at most a few hours time span to gain a profit when you see a place you can enter.

lol crait... forex isnt a long term investment... you deal with stuff to the 4th decimal point which are called pips. it doesnt matter how well the dollar is doing or isnt doing economically because at 1/100 of a cent you'll still see a lot of action. however, that being said...staying current on major news of the currency pairs will also help you evaluate whether theres going to be a huge spike upward/downward.

again... you're talking long term. if you download a forex platform you'll see that the usd/jpy is actually going down...its spiked once for the month, and looks like it will be spiking again within the next few days to a week.
