yah teh grits in the toothpaste fill the scratches enough to play.

Just to make sure .... cover the cd's read side with toothpaste, wash it all off, dry it... and voila. it should work again.

does it matter whether its a whtie colegate-like paste, a blue green gel, or something like aquafresh? I'm serious.

Yah but u have to make shure that wipe straight down with a cotton cloth not in a curcular motion or u will really f*ck up the disk.

I don't think you can fix messed up Cds. But yea, try to rub the bottom side of the Cd against the road using your feet, it will give your CD that nasty look, it should do the work.

Toothpaste? Alcohol? What is with you people, the one and only solution is to put it in the microwave for three minutes.

What can you say..it works! I just tried it and what do you know (well, at first i did 2 min, then 30 secs, and another 30 sec...and then yea, done!)...I am playing/watching all of my CD's/DVD's again, thanks Samineru.

i always though if you put a cd in a microwave electric will break the cd and the mircowave will blow :D

I tried the tooth paste thing and it destroyed my only copy of Star Ocean 2: The Second Story :cry: i think it was the way i wiped it.
