Need to find a program to design a room

Im need one of those programs where you can design a room, house, etc. My ex gf had one where you designed a house and could put in the dimensions of each wall and then put in furniture and such. Basically I am getting a new lab and I took measurements of everything in the room and want to transfer that information to some sort of program where I can see what the room looks like and how much room I will have to place equipment. Even if it is something crude where I can just draw a box that would represent specific measurements and move items around the room, I just need it to scale. Even a PC program will do. Anybody know of anything like that?

Don't use Limewire, that will give you virus. Just try and google it.

Jesus there are so many. Has anyone used any of these? I need to not only put in the dimensions of the room but I would like to also put in objects and move them around to see how to best fit everything in. For example I have a centrifuge that is 2"4"x2'8" I would like to be able to make an object with those dimensions and drag it around and drop it on a couner and be able to move it later if I want. What program would let me do that?

Yeah well sometimes it doesnt matter if its exe. Most of the programs on there can be zip files and can contain a virus
or trojan. Believe me I got one before.

You are lucky he didn't have to hit a few more buttons or you would have been broke! LOL! I couldn't resist!!

Holy crap Autocad is over $1,000!!! My job wont pay for that. I just need something simple not 3-D and affordable. Since this is going on the computer on the hospital/university network I can't use means such as torrents to obtain it either. They will buy it for me if the price is reasonable but I would like to get something cheap and soon. I dont feel like resorting to graph paper and scissors.
