It hasn't paid for itself yet, but I can definitely see the benefits of using it. I think a few more years and it will pay for itself. But I'm very satisfied , I more than enough of its power. I, too, initially doubted the need for solar panels. But the calculations showed that in 5 years I will pay 50% less for electricity!
