Yeah..I stupidly downloaded a crack.
Now I keep getting these annoying popups:
winanti virus, theres more but I dont want to name them. XD

Anyways...Ive tried tons of things.
Although these will just try to prevent infection, they wont actually get rid of my trojan.
Ive tried:
Spyboy Search and Destroy
Ad aware SE
AVG Anti Virus (Free version)
McAffe
HiJackThis

Tons of other ones but damn I just cant stop the popups!
Everytime I scan theres just more and more negative files.
Besides reformatting (which is possibly the last option I want to do, since its not my computer alone) anyone have any suggestions?

Ive posted on a forum and recorded the logs of my programs but none seem to be effective. Does anyone know of anything possible
that will prevent these damn popups and greatly immunize my system from this trojan horse?

you know damn well it was porn...maybe you should just stop looking up and clicking on random porn..

and possibly stop installing things to view it.

Go to the recovery mode of your computer and set it back to the date before this all happened. Not being rude but thats a basic thing. But i had a virus one time that blocked my rec. mode so yea hopefully that isn't blocked on you.

Well, if you have 2 Partitions and or 2 HDD`s, just move all important files over, format your OS drive, then reinstall. I know it sux, and you prolly already know this, but it`s an idea. OR, you could do what I did one time, find new porn sites - lol. Just kidding.

Spyware doctor???
Ive actually remember having a Doctor symbol on my computer before (before it was reformatted)
but the popups Ive been getting is Spyware doctor. Which REALLY leaks my boat...

Also, I went to look in my Processes I was running, I looked at it..and smss.exe was one of the ones I was running!

Prolly a REAL stupid question, but we all do stupid things from time to time, have you taken the name of this virus or whatever the name is and searched online to find info about it?

Oh, and by the way, "SpyWARE doctor" I found out IS spyware, Spybot, McAfee and a few others all show THIS program AS spyware, or better yet as Malware.

I think if you just get rid of Spyware Doctor, THEN do all of your virus and spy checks, you may just find that it works, but this is just an opinion of mine.

Also, are you sure that it`s NOT Spyware Bot?

That was is not spyware bot? The virus? Umm Im pretty sure it isnt...
I know what the virus is, it came from a keygen I was downloading (which wasnt really a keygen at all!)
Anyways I tried downloading vundofixer and combofixer, Im gonna see how this goes.

Its just part of the OS.
I may be wrong it may not be a virus, but from the looks of it from many sources its been declared it is.

Well I actually knew what the smss was. Just wanted to see if you would call it a virus or something. Anyways, the smss is actually NEEDED for windows, but this might be an interesting read.

depending on where the file is being executed from = trojan or no trojan.
