Because of this thread I ditched Norton and downloaded AVG Internet Security. Hell, the program recognized that the key was copied and still gives me updates and such.

Now I see why everyone hates Norton. It ate up so much memory, and it turns out I had a few back doors and a trojan on my computer... had no idea. Thanks everyone for this wonderful wonderful thread. :)

Lol I know in some computer mag I read last month AVG was rated best free AV next to Avast! and some others. I really need to ditch Norton. It hogs up so much resources it aint even funny man.

So Norton is the worst one ever?

Well I wouldn't say worst ever. But lets just say you could do a lot better then Norton. Since (no offence) you are rather young, you could just get AVG like others mentioned since it's free. The only bad part of getting rid of Norton if you are switching from it is that Norton leaves a ton of files in your registry and such and you rpetty much should just search your whole computer for anything that has Norton and Symantec in it and delete it. But if your parents are anything like mine, there going to say Norton is better then anything just because it's popular. Kind've like people buying aeropostle or abercrombie and finch clothes. They say it's better JUST because of the name associated with it even tho (in AV's atleast) it's worst. Of course a lot of people use Norton so more viruses are going to target Norton too.

Get AVG. lol.
