Hey, I used this tutorial so far.

However, i made one mistake, I didn't choose option 4. I chose option 3 (for psp slims) how do I go about this?

I have vista on my laptop, will this tutorial work for me?

If not, is there a way to do this with vista? is there another tutorial just for it?

This does not work on Vista 64-bit. Windows reports that it does not support 16-bit applications after selecting option 4 and pressing enter. Any suggestions? Spare me your cliches about changing to XP.

It's rar32.exe that is the problem. Anyone know what this file does exactly?

I ended up using XP on another computer I own.

I am having trouble getting my batter open. I'm not sure what the "top" is.

"Label side up"? I'm guessing the label is the literal label on the back where it says Sony and has the battery model number listed?

You then make reference to the top, but what is the top?

Well, I managed to get the battery apart, but the cover is in no shape to put back on. I'll just have to tape it up with electrical tape or something. Or just toss it, because it doesn't work when I put it in the PSP. No green light. Nothing. There was a lot of cracking when taking apart the battery.

Anyways, what are my options now. I'll need a new battery. Maybe I should just buy a Pandora while I'm at it?

I've ruined my PSP while fallowing your tutorial (a risk I accepted in the beginning) and any help would be appreciated.

please help

This tutorial was written over a year ago, I was wondering if this is still the practice today when it comes to installing CFW to a Slim?

All you need is a pandora battery and a recent magic memory stick package.
