Neo Geo Tutorial By Mailas Gonrai

Hey guys.
I have been told that a lot of people are rather asking help on PM or msn rather than posting by getting their answers on neo geo for 10000 questions on the same topic, vice versa, posting a lot of the same questions
that have been answered and lazy to go check it out.
So heres the tut I made for neo geo cd emulation:
    Neo Geo CD Tutorial!
    No aside notes for this one other than the fact that you will need firmware under 2.xx
    The Steps:
    Step One:
    What we first need to do is get you're emulator.
    This tutorial will be using v0.5 of Neo Geo, so bare with me.
    To download:
    Neo Geo v0.5

    Step Two:
    Download this, enter the zip file and put both folders from KXploit in to PSP/GAME on the memory stick.
    Remember, when entering the memory stick, go into USB mode like so:
    Go to Step three if you're not a n00b and know how to use
    USB connection to skip this stuff you know)

    Obviously, connect you're USB cable like so from you're PC to you're PSP:
    Image
    Once you have connected it, go into you're PSP by flicking the Power switch:
    Image
    Simply flick the switch up once to turn it on. For more info consult you'rePSP Instructional Manual.
    Once its on, go into USb connection by pressing the Left Analog, Or Left DPad until you get to a category called "Settings"
    After that, go into USB connection like so:
    Image
    After that, you will then have something appear on you're PC screen if you connected it right with you're USB cable.
    Something like this should pop up:
    Image
    If it did, it has prooven you are in USB mode. Then, scroll down on that window to Open Files With Folder or what ever it sais at the bottom.
    You will now be in you're "ROOT OF MEMORY STICK" AKA: ROOT
    Please remember this.
    Inside will be some folders, the main one we are looking for right now is the PSP folder.

    Step Three:
    Since now you are in the USB mode of you're mem stick, we will finally get to te actually emulator.
    Above, on step two, it sais to place the emulator into PSP/GAME. This means place it in the GAME folder inside the PSP folder on you're ROOT.
    (ROOT OF MEMORY STICK)
    There should be two folders on you're emulator, one will have a name with a % sign, and another with a name without a % sign.
    If not, its most likely to have one folder, with no %, meaning its for 1.0 firmware.
    If its for 1.0, then it will have one folder as stated above. If it has two folders, its for 1.5/kxploit folder 1.5.
    Now, we will need a neocd.BIN file in here. If its 1.5, the neocd.BIN file goes in the folder without the %.
    If its 1.0 it goes in the one folder lol.
    To get the neocd.bin, you will need to go here:
    BIN File
    Get it from Emulation Files.
    Place the neocd.BIN file in the emulator folder which should be on you're GAME folder like so:
    Image

    Step 4:
    Download a Neo Geo CD ROM (please don’t ask where to find these),
    and unzip/unrar the compressed folder you get. (These files are commonly over 50MB). Make a folder anywhere on your memory stick
    named after your ROM (such as NEOGEOROMS/METALSLUG/) In here, make a folder called “neocd.mp3”
    and dump all the MP3 files you get with the ROM.
    Now download an ISO Image Manipulating program, with Virtual Drive capabilities.
    I suggest Alcohol 120%. Make a Virtual Drive (a part of your hard drive that your computer thinks is a re-writable CD).
    Mount the ISO image onto this Virtual Drive. Open My Computer, then open the new Virtual Drive.
    Take all the files and put them into your ROM folder (such as NEOGEOROMS/METALSLUG/).
    Alchohol 120% from Alchohol Soft

    Step 5:
    Congrats! You are finally done installing Neo Geo CD onto you're PSP memory stick!
    Now all you have to do is go onto the GAME category (not the folder) on you're PSP dashboard, (where you went when you pushed the POWER button)
    and start playing!
    Via Controls For Neo Geo:
    Controls!

    A = Cross
    B = Circle
    C = Square
    D = Triangle
    Select = Pause
    D-Pad = Movement
    L = Menu
    R = Take BMP Snapshot

    Incase you're wondering, obviously you can replace the mp3 files with you're own music.
    To do this:

    Simply go in the neogeo.mp3 folder we had before, and replace the name of the mp3 with you're own mp3 that you want to replace so you can listen
    to you're own music while playing you're fav game, AKA: For this, METAL SLUG.

For more mounting information:
You mount the ISO of the Neo Geo CD game onto a virtual drive, using alocohol. This is all on your PC, your PSP is not used yet. You then open up the virtual Drive in My Computer, and copy all the files onto the PSP.

sorry, I can’t get much more detailed than that without getting a full ISO software guide!!

Just incase you have problems.

I really hoped this tutorial helped!
Thanks again my regards:
Mailas Gonrai.
