it depends in what country you live in i think, because mod chips are illegal in some countries

oh thats right i forgot we had some canadian friends here. yea in america using modchips to divert normal security measures is illegal.

oops sorry it is legal to keep backups of games as long as you have the original tied to it. my humblest apologies however you can only have ONE copy.

Diehard, I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to take things into your own hands. They have already moved past that and you are just contributing to spam. Also your breaking the rules by referring to something off topic. If he wanted a large discussion about it he would've started his own topic.

About the backup thing, I think it'd be best to just to read your on local laws on the subject because it's kindve hard to compare laws from different countries.

You guys really need to understand that this is a GENERAL BOARD. This is the place for random crap and whatever we want to talk about. There's really not a way to spam a thread with "off-topic". Like I said, if there's fighting, swearing at people, etc. then lock a topic, or even delete a post. Just please, use your best judgement. Thanks.

You can post an off-topic post if it's different then the popular topic. Several post's were about the subject of weither having a game and the same game on your computer is illegal or not, then diehard posted something completely different, even when the rules clearly state that members shouldn't take a moderator or admins responsibility into there own hands. Just because this is General Chat doesn't mean you can post random stuff completely different then what the person that started the thread wanted. Yea you can post thread about anything in the General Chat section but that doesn't mean you can post whatever you want in any thread you want to. How would you feel if you made a thread about computers and I suddenly made a post about cheese decaying?

I didn't say that. I mean't that you can post a reply that is off topic in the General Chat section. I didn't say anything about one reply making the whole thread off topic which wouldn't even be true at all.
