I like the PS3 song the best...

I think it's funny how much people knock the Wii because of it's graphics. It was never meant to be a "next gen" console. Nintendo even said that. Their original goal was to make a fun and affordable system that was under $100. When they got their hands on some other technologies though, like the motion stuff, the price was elevated a bit. Since when has Nintendo EVER been a hardcore gaming console? They've never really tried to be industry innovators.

omg BB i can't believe you said that
if targeting a broader demographic with things like dual screens and a touch screen and a motion sensitive controller
isn't industry innovation then i just don't know what is

I'm talking about breakthrough technologies... motion sensing and touch screens have been around for quite a while...
xbox took HD technology while it was young (still is young) and started using that will new accelerated graphics.
Sony reengineered the wheel by developing Blu-ray, and combined that with great graphics and whatnot... i don't know all the specs of the system.
Other systems converted to disc media before nintendo did... some LONG before nintendo did.

In the end PC's win the battle.

a console upgrades every 2-3 years
while a pc upgrades every 4-6months

My V8 PC blows the ps3 away

PC's are good , but there are 1 downside to them involving gaming: you have to update your graphics card every year.

But i would have to agree with you that PC's are good for gaming right now.

Lol even if you are one of the hardcore gamers that buy a new video card all the time, wouldn't it be better to buy a video card a lot then to buy a whole new console everythime one comes out, especially switching from ps2 to ps3 for $600, and I don't wanna even think how much the ps4 is going to cost. More like $1,000 next time you wanna upgrade. Really, think about it. My friend was trying to tell me the ps3 could pwn a $4k computer, and all I could do was laugh. All the ps3 is, is a computer. It's just dedicated to ps3 games. I mean really. ALl the game systems are, are computers. I don't see how you could say a game system is better.

Wow, your friend must be delusional if he/she thinks the ps3 is better than a $4k computer. You could build such a nice comp for $4k...

hmmm yeah now that i think about motion sensing and touch screens have been around for awhile
but there isn't really anything innovative about the concept of boasting better graphics
i think if you remember the days of the n64 the n64 was in fact better graphically than the playstation due to that same cartirdge format the only problem was that using disc were cheaper

as for the person with the idea the ps3 is better than a 4k comp...god bless their soul
