okay the first system I ever modded was my psp, and it was pretty fun...well more exciting than fun because it was something that i had never really put my hands on before. but I decided to mod my old xbox since I'm going to be getting a 360 for christmas. there is so much similarities between modding systems it is crazy. I used a game save exploit for 007 on my xbox, when I used GTA to downgrade my psp using a gamesave exploit. I've done everything to my xbox too, I can ftp file transfers from my xbox to my pc (example: usbhosts.fs for my psp) and I managed my .xml files, converted a usb drive to an xbox memory card, put different dashboards, plugins, EMULATORS, all on my xbox with its 10G hard drive. My xbox was half broken before (like it wouldn't play certain games and I even bought a new disk drive and that didn't fix it.) and its still broken, but I can play any game through ftp or if its saved on the hard drive. The next thing i'm going to do is to add a bigger hard drive to my xbox and REALLY have some fun. I'm not saying this to brag, just if it wasn't for pspbrew.com I would've have never really gotten into doing these kind of things. truly this site has inspired me. Thanks a lot you guys.

But is there any way that I can help build xboxbrew.com? it seems pretty down low, is there a political reason why we can't say more about xbox mods? I had to mainly search xbox-hq.com or xbox-scene.com to find anything (if I was lucky).

but seriously guys if you just have your old xbox just lying around, I strongly recommend "doing something about it.." lemme know if you guys wanna know more of how I did it. I'll post pictures of it if I get enough responses. I don't even know if you guys actually care, but just thought I'd say thanks o nce again pspbrew.com

Congratulations on your newly modded xbox. The main reason for there not being much information on modding over at xboxbrew.com is because the community is a little low in population right now. If you want to help out you can submit tutorials, you can refer your friends to come to our sites, and provide help to other members when its needed.

Please create a tutorial over at xboxbrew.com I have actually requested a soft mod tutorial over there. I have an xbox I want to mod too but don't want to pay for the mod chip again (I already had one xbox modded with an Xecuter 2.6 chip and a 120gb hdd).

Congratulations. Yea making a tutorial would be cool. I would make one on how to use UDE2, but I really just don't have the time to make one out of scratch right now, and UDE2 is rather out of date compared to like UXE or w/e it was called. Maybe this weekend, but I don't want to say something and not do it. I didn't know you still haven't softmodded your xbox figz. But yea it'd be cool if you could.

LOL, ok linux is not made into the games. The save just uses a security exploit found in 3 common games (seperate ofcourse, mech assualt being the most popular) and launches a temporary dashboard from there allowing you FTP access to your xbox then you can either modify the files yourself directly or use a auto installer that does it for you. Why Linux is always associated with those gamesaves is beyond me, I don't know how exactly the dashboards work but no it doesn't launch Linux or any of that b$ xboxscene feeds you for dinner.
