I wanted to downgrade from 2.0 and I happen to scan the "MPH Downgrader" file I got off of PSPbrew and Norton says there is a Trojan PSPbrick virus embedded in the overflow.tif file...

Is this right? Am I about to Brick my PSP if I use this?

Did I just get an infected file or what?

Help! :(

no norton just says its infected file beacuse it changes your flash beacuse its wat the pspbrick virus does so no your not going to brick your psp you got the file from pspupdates.com or psp-hacks.com right?

the only way u can brick ur psp by using the downgrader is not following the instructions right.Like if ur about to downgrade and it says u need ur ac adaptor in then it would probably show an error message but my friend unplugged his ac adaprot while he was downgrading (hes really an idiot) he wanted to test something out (i have no f'n clue what) so he unplugged it and his psp just turned right off. When he turned it back on there as this whole bunch of text on the screen and he couldnt get back to the home page.Thats all that showed.Just some weird text jumbled up.He showed me himself.
