You can use any wireless access point. It doesn't have to be a WiFi Max. You could buy a wireless router off ebay for as much as a WiFi Max costs...

ad hoc games are like games you can play when you are near someone with the same game on their PSP.

infastructure(or however u spell it) is when you're online actually playing with other people.

Now are you telling me that i can connect to other people thru ad hoc without Wifi Max?

that i can simply connect using a wifi router such as Linksys? and if so, that i could play games such as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (which does not support infastructured online play, but only online infastructure downloads n stuff) online by simply using my Linksys wireless connection router thing?

if you can play ad hoc games online without a Wifi max tunneling cable and you can by simply using the Linksys wifi router, could u please tell me how?

I know what ad hoc is, you don't have to explain it to me.
But yea, I don't see why you couldn't. All a wifi max is, is a access point that uses your computer to bridge a internet connection. So you can just as easily use a wireless router, or at least you can using an xbox and xlink kai (what it was originally developed for). I don't have any exact instructions, but it isn't much different then using a WiFi max... Just do what you have been doing but connect your psp to the router instead of wifi max. If you can't figure out how, then try google. xlink has been out for a few years so you should be able to find something lol.

@ light_alistor, yes you can play street fighter online. You guys act like this is some new awesome discovery lol.

I don't think so, it mainly just supports regular games like psp and xbox.

I'd figure it would work with an ad-hoc eboot. Seeing as how ad-hoc Via homebrew, and ad-hoc Via UMD/ISO are the same.
