im not very good with routers, but the lag could be due to a weak signal or a cheap router. Possibly even too many people acessing your router. Try to encrypt it so only you can use it.

the router is in on my dads computer hardwired and then me and my sister are getting hooked up wireless. for anyone thats thinking about getting wireless, i absolutely hate it. it was a b**ch to set up and it always loses the signal for about a second then reconnects me and its pretty irritating. it seems to be slower like said before also.
Advice: hardwire it, no setup and faster and EXTREMELY CHEAPER
Edit: the router is a 2.4 ghz linksys. im also only running on 256 ram. could that be the problem?

im pretty sure there is nothing wrong with your router. Im using my neighbours wireless, with my pda, i never get disconnected, and its pretty fast on my pda. I can go on from 1 website to the other fairly quickly.
