OFW 5.0 to come out before Oct. 15th - Your thoughts?

I think Sony screwed up releasing 4.0 without having anything new to the firmware.
The latest firmware is 4.05 and they're going to jump to 5.0?
There'd better be a lot of stuff that's coming out on it.
Here's a list of known features:
# PSN/PSP Store
# USB Mode auto-enable (PSP-3000)
# Revamped RSS Reader

Here's what is rumored/probably also going to come out with 5.0 too.
# Screencapture (XMB & Ingame) (PS3 is rumored to get this in 2.5 also)
# New visualizers.
# New drivers for new hardware accessories
# Reformation of flash like they do in every update

Here's what they should also include to get more people buying PSP's.
# A few more image/video format support
# Update Macromedia Flash (Though Adobe does not release player code except for Mac/Windows)
# Faster Internet Browser speeds using the MS as a cache-all (with enable-disable function)
# Use of more RAM so things are faster for 2000/3000 PSP's

P.S.
It's said PS3 firmware 2.5 will be out too at the same date. It's also confirmed Home will be released before the next month.
So, will PSP have Home interaction?

Anyone else want to add to those lists or say their own comments on it?

Oh nice, screen capture :).
Hopefully it is something big since 4.0 was a let down.
They need add another 32MB of RAM to this new psp that is coming out,
It would be nice to have better battery life as well.

That would have been a worthy buy.

Sony has confirmed these as of today.
* Direct PSN access. Yep, the PSP finally gets its native PlayStation Store. With FW 5.00 you can access Sony's online network directly from your PSP via Wi-Fi - you can register a PSN account (if you haven't yet - SHAME!) or manage your profile and settings. This also means direct download of games, media, and content from the store - no need for the PC Store anymore! Just a note, the same wallet and account can be used interchangeably for the PSP and PS3; there's no need to create a new account for the PSP Store. Just so you don't get surprised, the PC Store will be under maintenance while they get the PSP Store online.
* Sleep timer option. Some of you have probably seen this many times before as a feature in some of the more ubiquitous music player homebrew projects in the community, but now, Sony's building it into the system already: the feature allows you to play music and set a sleep timer.
* Full screen keyboard option for text input. Self explanatory.
* Redesigned XMB background. 'Nuf said. (Wonder what it looks like though - they didn't show any screenshots...)

Eric Lempel notes that this is not the full list of features. A more detailed list (i.e. changelog) will be published once the updates have gone live. Unfortunately, no launch dates for North America have been scheduled for these system updates yet.

Okay, also. It has been confirmed that the entire XMB of the PSP is changed up.
Apparently, the PSP and PS3 are getting new On-Screen-Keyboards.
The PS3 will also get Flash 9 support!!!

Lmao.
