To play homebrew on 2.00 firmware. I was reading on a website that was comparing all the firmwares and their advantages. It said 2.00 can do homebrew, just not do ISO's whatever that means. Is this true? Can i finally upgrade to 2.00? Tell me so i don't do something stupid.

Yepp, well, there's like this loader that you must get and use it for the other EBOOT files, but why do you want to upgrade? There's so much hastle.

na, its not worth it, id wait for the final release of the new 1.5 downgrader, casue only virgin psp's can downgrade (meaning only 1.5's that have never been updated then downgraded can use this new downgrader) 1.0 sounds promising, so i wouldnt upgrade just yet if i were u.

If you're saying that upgrading to the 2.0 firmware from 1.50 firmware, and then downgrading it back to 1.50, you can't do a downgrade to for 1.00?

-Because I'm thinking of getting a White PlayStation Portable in acouple of weeks, and I am guessing that it comes with the firmware 2.0, and then I downgrade to 1.50. So does that mean that I can't go down to 1.00 then? Or should I just go from 2.00 to 1.00? Is that possible?

nono, your psp HAS TO BE virgin 1.5 to downgrade. But its all speculation right now. But i highly recommend that you dont downgrade if you dont have a 1.5 thats been pre-downgraded, unless you want to use your psp to become a tissue holder....

yeah u cant launch iso's, and what has been proven is that only about 40%-60% of homebrews only work on that.
so not ALL homebrews work on it.

and ummm dano, you are right man about the vrgin PSPs but for now, thats just a rumor about the downgrader.......
what you read that was poseted by D.A was just a rumor, so nobody know for 100% that you will need a vrigin one,
but i am pretty sure that you will need a virgin one.

and ramthra, i highly doubt that they will find way to make them virgin, cuz i mean having a virgin psp is just that way...

yeah a bit, but I believe that anything is possible with a psp
