maybe you should just download the overflow file again.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the overflow file get deleted by an anti-virus? Or am I confusing this file with something else during the downgrade procedure?

port, im sorry to say, but the instructions you made was the most confusing thing ive read. When ive downgraded my bro's psp just 5 days ago, i didnt do half the things you mentioned in your instructions. Strange eh? Heres what i did:

Downloaded
-1.5 EBOOT (found at psp-hacks.com)
-MPH2.0 downgrader (found at mphwebsite and contains h.bin, index.dat, overflow.tif)

And heres what i did:
-Made a folder in PSP/GAME called "UPDATE" then ive placed the 1.5 eboot in there
-inserted overflow.tif in PSP/PHOTO (ive disabled my anit-virus before doing so and i had no other photos)
-drag and drop h.bin and index.dat in root directory
-and im done.

Then i clicked on PHOTO in the psp menu and it automatically started the overflow file. Then after that ive launched the 1.5 update. And ive successfully dowgraded my brothers psp from 2.0 to 1.5.

Why does your downgrader (port) contain other files? Thats whats confusing me. And i didnt have to set anything as my wallpaper. strange.

I used PSPortableV2's files, and they worked.. I think the whole idea of the framebuffer is to make the whole downgrading process run smoother... he also adds in the upgrading 1.5 file later, and thats mainly it... I don't know why, but I understand it, but it might be because I used his method before and it worked!

Well, I could have done it that way, but I tried it mke it more safe. The first time people downgraded was by using the files I gave out. Now people just goes ahead and do it the shortcut way.

-I'm not saying your way is wrong, (which it's not) but yea, I felt like taking the extra step into this downgrader tutorial. Don't ask why...
