.wma is the windows media player extension for audio. It's the filetype of your music if you rip CD's with Windows Media Player. If your PSP has wma playback that means it can play a .wma file.

it means that the device playsback music files created by windows media player (wma stands for windows media audio) it's another form like the mp3 format.

well only psp v2.6 can use wma and if u dont have 2.6 get itunes fiddle around in the properties so it rips to mp3 then it ll be able to play music on ur psp

yah but the think about wma is that their smaller files then mp3 so u can play more of them.

Are you sure? I've seen a 128k wma be the same size as a 128k MP3

hey guys it really doesnt matter. you try "ripping" your already ripped mp3s (from CD, duh!) then there is further loss in quality regardless of what the bitrate is... So i think, mp3 being the most common medium to date ill stick with old school until a super compressed, lossless codec comes by...
