does anyone know if there is going to be a resident evil release on the psp?

I am pretty sure that there will not be a Resident Evil released on the psp, and not one anytime soon for sure.

You CAN, however, get Resident Evil 1 on your psp using custom firmware/ popstation. You can also play Resident Evil 3. Resident Evil 2 will lock up at the police station so it isn't worth playing until a workaround is found.

LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Resident Evil since the first one came out in 1996-1997 there were 2 and after that got addicted got 2,3, CV 4 and awaiting 5 this year I hope

be awesome if a resident evil came out for PSP,in the DS It didn't do so good.

well you can get the psx game to work on the psp and it plays very nicely.

I personally don't have a DS/ haven't played it that much but I played the Resident Evil on the DS and found that I liked it quite a bit... but it is understandable that it didn't sell well on that system b/c it is targeted towards a different audience generally.

the only resident evil i know that will be on the psp is the ps1 back up

Resident Evil 5 is in 2008, but umbrella chapters is supposed to be this year for the Wii.

that's a good idea, GreatTeacher, and actually they COULD make one. It'd be shorter of course but I think it would make for an interesting game.

I'm not sure what is "killing" the psp exactly, but I think the most blame is on Sony, not us. Sony kept making firmware updates, and as a company that is a GOOD thing to stop piracy and influence game developers to make games for you... but in doing so, Sony made RETARDED updates that were cracked faster than they took to make. Some were cracked using the same decrypt keys.

As a company, that is just sad and makes the psp look like a miserable system to develop games on. I think it is that reason that game developers opt not to make anything for the psp... but I still think that my psp will keep me entertained for YEARS after it is no long in production.

As far as Resident Evil goes, 2 will freeze up, but Resident Evil 3 runs like a dream ... and it is so much fun. It has a few weird glitches... like... if you pick up a green herb and goto pick up a second one, it will pause for about 8 seconds before it will ask you to pick it up, but that is no biggie at all. Love that game.
