Sony CEA Announces GDC 2006 Presence

Sony CEA announced its presence at the 2006 Game Developers Conference (GDC). It will held March 22-24 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. The company will support developers and publishers in the creation of PlayStation content by providing the latest development tools and technologies through conference presentations, panels and booth demonstrations. Booth demonstrations will be held at booth number 808, which will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 22nd and 23rd, and from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 24th.

Some devs from the PSP hack scene should go there n try to pick a dev kit.... they're cheap (now) i here... Too bad ive to trvel half the world or id've gone...

a dev kit is a dev kit is a dev kit... there is nothing great or uncool bout them. they just can be used for you know... hacking the psp :lol:

Mostly hack files.
I use them for C++ if I want to hack something.

glad we could help ya out... we don've any devs here at pspbrew but there are a lot of sites like PSPUpdates, PSP3D etc that have homebrew devs and hackers

So, if I use these dev kits, I can hack my psp?? I mean I dont want to brick it.

Not really (cos sony'll need proof you're a real dev n you're working on a game before they give you the kit).\
But in the hands of some real nifty hackers (a lot including fan, dil, fre, mph etc) we could actually see something good.

BTW, you cant write UMDs using the kit, its just a DVD drive which reads UMDs and has a PSP emulator to test on.

you cant... you make the content, test/debug on the dev-kit n them send the stuff to SOny. THEY'll make the UMDs... Simple eh?
