ok its a custom firmware which was orginally designed to run on the modchip, but now can run on un-modded psp's due to the new 1.5 downgrader.

All it is was a company (or whatever), Epsilon BIOS, made a custom firmware to run on the new modchip, so they could have all of the features of a 1.5 plus more on a 2.71 PSP, but since we can now downgrade to a 1.0 we can update with this new cracked firmware, so we can use the same firmware in the video (once they release it) as our actual firmware, instead of having to use the modchip to boot it up as the chip's firmware. Get it? If not please use my signature to go to a NOOB help area, where you can brush up on your PSP knowlege, or just go hug a moving bus. THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!

so since 1.0 isnt signed you should be able to downgrade from 1.5 to 1.0 then upgrade to the new firmware correct?
