New firmware next week!

It looks like I was wrong about new firmware not coming anytime soon. Ofcourse I dont know if this is 3.0, but it looks like it might be a 2.72. Sony are to release a new official firmware next week, we dont know for sure if this is the PSone emulator firmware but what would be in your wish list,
This is what MIGHT be on the new firmware:
- GPS
- Wifi Radio
- Wifi TV
- PSone Emu
They have officially announced this.
I say, DO NOT UPDATE.
The only reason I want you to update is to get a new psp from your local game shop and use that as the one for the new PS Emulator coming out soon.
If the playstation emulator is not on this firmware, then do not get a new psp just yet, because playstation emulators are basically the most non useless thing on a new firmware.

think the devhook team will get a new devhook out for it quicly? or do u think sony will have patched it up so they wont be able to it?

Possibly with how fast they did it with 2.7 and 2.71 Im sure alex'l do it soon.

You didnt put what they have announced for the new firmware coming out after 2.71
Like whats going to be on the next one.
The ones I put down are indeed not a guess. Its for sure what is going to be on in the future firmwares, but possibly separatly.

I don't understand why most of the people on this site use their PSPs primarily to run homebrew apps, yet are constantly running to upgrade their firmware each time Sony releases a new update (seems like every other week), then they complain that nothing can run on their PSPs for months at a time until someone comes up with a hack that allows you to run a limited amount of homebrew as was previously possible. You people just dont seem to get it. DONT UPGRADE!

im with necro i make fun of people who upgrade because no matter what you have the same hardware so it is a matter of time till someone gets the new stuff to work the old way without sonys help

Although things don't actually work the same as the "old way" once you upgrade.

yeah it's not that we are excited about upgrading but we would like to see what new fetures the new firmware comes up with, Mailas is wrong, there won't be any of that, there will be new RSS Video feeds or whatever. but there will certainly not be a GPS or a Wifi TV or radio and the PS1 Emu is out of the question.
they are only making Minor updates which is why, according to the briliant thinking of im_on_teh_computer, this will most doubtedy be firmware 2.72 because there is nothing in this update woth going up to the next who number (i.e. Firmware 3.00)
