Devil May Cry 4
Posted: Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:24 pmok I just got the new game informer and id just like to state the highlights of DMC4
first thing... Dante is not the main character (but he will make many appearances) the main character is a guy named Nero, who oddly looks allot like Dante.
this guy is no push over, the game informer crew got a look at the beginning of the story. Dante attacks this group that Nero is a part of a group called the order of the swords. these people worship Sparda and fight under his name. Nero ,prior to the game, is tasked with cleaning up particularly messy situations. this changers when Dante breaks into the groups temple and starts killing every 1. during this intro cut seen the 2 (Dante and Nero) clash and Nero appears to have the upper hand after landing a dropkick on Dante’s face. during this a woman watches the conflict from below, until Dante escapes Nero with Nero in pursuit.
Like Dante Nero has a sword. the sword is called the red queen and it has a trigger on it (the producers wouldn’t say what it was for). of course Nero also sports a gun, a vertically double barreled revolver (don’t worry no reloads like the other DMCs). the best thing I saw was Nero’s arm, he was cursed by sum demon and what not and now has this demonic arm. the arm will be able to grab enemies from a distance, pull them toward you for sum sword combos or smashed them to the ground, more techniques will be learned playing the game. the producer claims that all the weapons will be able to but used to make huge combos. no devil trigger yet but in the pictures in game informer threes an empty space below the health bar what would that lead us to believe?
for those of you who had trouble on DMC3 with the difficulty there will be many choices for difficulty (probably easy to the extremely hard Nero must die) so don’t be discouraged.
this game is for the ps3 and supports sum really good looking graphics and its being produced by the same guy who did Resident Evil 4 so hopefully it will do good
and hers another little tidbit:
the order of the games is f'ed up but here they go in chronological order

with the arm, the team is putting an emphasis on areial combat.
Nero's arm has quite a reach.
Even the attacks look better.

See Dante is still here, looks playable to me.
This is the boss in the Demo played by the GI crew, his name is Variel and he sets fire to everything around him, boss fights look easy lol
im gunna wait to put more imiges up, but rest assured there is more to show
