HoW dO I dO tHiS?

Ok my last psp got briked for reason im not telling, and just got a new one about a month or two ago and it was 2.6 and i was going to leave it but know i wont to down grade to 1.50 for homebrews BUT iv tryied the tut. on this website and it just gave me a black screen then i took the battery out and put back in and re started it and it was still 2.6 can somebody give me a step By Step tut for me?

ok you should be seeing a black screen... the memory stick light should be blinking while the screen is black, if this is happening leave yor psp alone for a bit, it should restart once its finished
other wise if that dosent work pm me and ill walk you through it
